Since participating in several Gather courses, most notably the Beyond programme, Paul and the Yozu team have laid a solid foundation for their future growth.
Where they were at
Since 2013, Yozu have grown from a small tech consultancy to a team of 45 engineers, designers, developers, testers, and project managers. They work in partnership with both SMEs and enterprise-level businesses to revolutionise their operations and serve their customers better by implementing innovative tech solutions.
With an experienced team operating from offices in both Liverpool and London, Yozu tackles a diverse range of projects spanning sectors such as logistics, healthcare, e-learning, and finance, positioning them to capitalise on new opportunities.
Why Gather?
With big ambitions for expansion, they needed support to ready their business for the next step. To sharpen their focus and make sure they had the right foundations in place.
The leadership team had specific challenges around hiring the right staff, retaining their current talent, and maintaining the flow of new projects to support sustainable growth.
How Gather helped
After taking part in the Mettle and Shift programmes, Yozu were eager to see if Hive could help their leadership team become more effective. By examining team dynamics, leadership styles, and aligning focus, Hive provided them with insight and practical tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.

Collaborating with Gather consultant Freia, they crafted six months of support, coaching, and actionable strategies. This initiative aided the leadership team in gaining clarity on their talent pipeline and sales and marketing goals, breaking down their growth plans into achievable objectives.

Since participating in Gather's programmes, Yozu has transformed its approach. They have integrated growth experiments and design sprints into their workflow, altering the way they plan and prioritise tasks, and bolstering their leadership team in the process.
