It's insight that you can directly implement and actionable support – not buzzwords or unrealistic advice. And the connections have been brilliant, everyone’s really supportive and encouraging.
— Rosie Kenyon, Managing Director
Kenyons is a creative PR, brand and marketing agency that has been a part of Liverpool's creative community since 1990. The Mettle and Shift programmes helped Managing Director Rosie Kenyon weather the pandemic storm and get a renewed focus on the future of the business.
Where they were at
Since starting life as a family PR firm Kenyons has found success through telling compelling stories. Over the past decade they’ve evolved into a full-service agency that partners with clients ranging from local music festivals to global pension funds – always with a focus on thoughtful creativity.
As a leader of an evolving team, Rosie wanted a safe space to share challenges and strategies with fellow leaders and the chance to take a step back and assess the future direction of the business.
It can be hard to get the time and space to concentrate on the bigger picture – especially in a global pandemic when there’s no best practice to call on.
How Gather helped
"On Mettle it was the reassurance of knowing everyone is facing the same things and Shift was the time for real reflection and thinking, ok, what does this all mean for Kenyons and what can we implement that will have a positive impact.”
Gather has helped Kenyons prioritise their own marketing, pushing them to make time to clarify their offer, messaging and strategy amidst the noise of client needs and global challenges.
Mettle and Shift have helped Rosie and the team use insights and tools to move their business strategy forward – through fresh clarity on their proposition, new internal processes, and a new approach for the website.
It’s helped us reflect on and drill down into the things that make us good and how we can do more with that. So we’re ready to not just stabilise the business but continue to grow
Kenyons are already putting their renewed focus into action with a plan to strengthen their video and animation team over the coming year to meet demand, along with a refresh of their (digital) presence which is currently taking shape.
We’re in a position to start thinking about what’s next, where to grow and develop the team. And we’re excited to see what happens in the community, when you combine the entrepreneurial mindset of the city with funded programmes like Gather – Liverpool has so many strengths.
